Peri-Peri Peppers are grown only in Africa, and this great sauce can be used as a marinade or topping for chicken, meat or seafood. It also enhances the flavor of stews, chili, soups, barbecues, pizza, sandwich spreads, dips, breads stir fry etc.
Recipes:
Peri-Peri Chicken
Marinate 900 g of skinned chicken pieces in 2/3 cup of Peri-Peri sauce for 12-24 hours. Grill or barbecue for 30-45 minutes, turning and basting occasionally.
Prawn Peri Peri
Coat 400 g peeled prawns with 1/2 cup Peri-Peri sauce. Stir fry for 4-6 minutes in 2 tablespoons of oil.
The ideal accompaniment for the above recipes is pasta or rice.
Ingredients: Peri-Peri peppers, vinegar, salt, lemon juice, carrot juice, garlic, shallots.
